Ploughcroft Cottage was originally three 18th century crofters' cottages. It has been lovingly restored retaining beamed ceilings and original stone fireplaces.
Set in an elevated semi-rural position with panoramic views over Halifax and surrounding countryside. The Calderdale Way runs near the cottage and the area is ideal for walking, horse riding and cycling along the many bridleways and footpaths that intertwine the area, and conveniently only 1.5 miles from the town centre, railway and bus stations.

There are many local attractions, too many to list, but why not start with a visit to the historical Piece Hall with its many craft shops, museum, open air market and coffee house. The Piece Hall is of Roman architectural design and often features open air live entertainment - sorry no lions!
