The Station hotel dates from 1891 and has been family run ever since. We strive to create a unique atmosphere, making you feel like an important guest - not simply a customer. We are situated within a five-minute walk from Ellon town centre, originally built for the busy railway station now serving more as a commuter hotel. The hotel itself has changed quite a bit since the olden days. There has been some modifications to the outside and inside has been completely refurbished to a high standard with all the modern comforts you would expect from a country hotel. There are plenty of leisure activities in Ellon and the surrounding areas. McDonald Golf Club is only round the corner - ample fishing places including Newburgh estuary - Shooting at local estates - Nature Walks and Whiskey Trails |

Situated in Ellon, The Station is a popular venue for Weddings with friendly service that you'd expect from a country hotel. Our staff have many years of experience to make sure that your day runs as smoothly as possible. We have a beautifully decorated function hall that can cater for up to 250 guests. Smaller wedding parties can have their day in the Arches Restaurant. The Lounge Bar is an ideal meeting place for pre dinner drinks. Alternatively you can sit in comfort in the beautifully decorated surroundings and have a quiet lunch or bar supper from our extensive menu. High Teas with home bakes served Sundays 4.30 - 7.00 pm. Conferences

Ellon is situated halfway between the busy city of Aberdeen and the growing town of Peterhead. Golf courses are in abundance with Ellon's own situated around the corner. If you plan to drive, apply to the hotel in advance for your best route. If you come by rail, your nearest station is Aberdeen (18 miles). By air, fly to Aberdeen (16 miles).
